There are just too many fun things happening - and we don’t have time to write a news letter so: here’s the breakdown:
Last call for the next session. It will start Monday, June 27th. There’s a really great group of people forming. Very exciting. If you want in, then let’s talk ASAP.
The next session will not be before September or at the earliest (probably October).
We’re reworking the PE site with an accessibility-first approach. We’ll be talking with people who use various assistive technology to consult - and we’re making that design process a public conversation. You can follow along on our YouTube channel.
We officially hired Brian (@bdlowery) as an intern at PE and he’s helping build out all sorts of cool site features. We can’t tell you how great it feels to train someone up and then see all of their effort coalesce into meaningful contributions. Thanks for being so dang awesome, Brian.
We’re still planning the new signup system - but we’ve just been having too much fun with the redesign and site improvements.
We’re still going to do the “Survivor Series” to beta-test the new alternate (longer) version of the course, but we’re not in a rush. All of these things will come together naturally with the “redesign” (which is really just the site evolving). 2023 is going to get wild.
What else…
Alpha-four is kicking ass. We’ll make sure to spotlight that in the next newsletter. We just wanted to make sure no one gets left out of the next session. This way - you can’t say we didn’t remind you!
Shayne got a job! And he’s not even done with the course yet.
Good job! (get it?)
It sounds too good to be true but just try it: Learn how to build websites, really put in the time, figure out where you want to work, talk to them, ask them what they need, add that to your repertoire if you don’t already have it, tell them when you’re ready.
Last call for June 2022 session
Well done!
Awesome! Good work Alpha-4 and congrats to Shayne!
